Freshness and liveliness emanate from the Blao cushion with subtly reinterpreted blue and white stripes. This vibrant play of lines and colors evokes the landscapes of the Mediterranean coast marked by the horizon line between the sky and the sea, frank, graphic, sharp.
Maar fabrics are made from 100% cotton hand-woven on wooden looms and sewn by CABES in Burkina Faso, a partner workshop of EFI (Ethical Fashion Initiative).
One side of the Blao cushions has buttons in corozo, also called vegetable ivory, made by a traditional button maker from Lyon in France.
What may seem like irregularities are manifestations of Blao's artisanal manufacturing, they give it singularity and character.
