Three ideas dear to Maar are the origin of the Mira hook: tie, link, assemble. Natural materials are sublimated by the hands of artisans who reproduce ancestral gestures and thus express their decorative character. Like a disc, a primary, essential form, Mira evokes the infinite, the universal which connects men and reveals itself to be resolutely modern.
The Mira hook is made from solid oak from French forests, turned by Jérémy's family turning mill in Brittany.
The polished hemp septain is braided using traditional techniques by one of the oldest rope makers in France located in Corrèze. It is then spiraled and sewn by Nadine, a basket maker in Brittany.
What may seem like irregularities are manifestations of Mira's artisanal manufacturing, they give it singularity and character.
