Maar fabrics are made from 100% cotton hand-woven on wooden looms and sewn by CABES in Burkina Faso, a partner workshop of EFI (Ethical Fashion Initiative).
The quilted effect of the placemat is obtained thanks to a particular weaving which incorporates strands of cotton thread.
What may seem like irregularities are manifestations of Blao's artisanal manufacturing, they give it singularity and character.
